Life Calendar is a product idea from Israel. It was inspired by an article from Wait but Why, where the author Tim Urban talks about the importance of being aware that life is finite and therefore, although that could be a sad thing, it can also be a motivation to live life to the fullest and make it count.
From this, the client wanted to offer a beautifully designed poster so people could order their own with their own personal life history and hang it in their apartment, as a reminder of what has already been accomplished that is sometimes forgotten, and how much there’s still to live and enjoy.
Landing Page
The starting point to create a personal life calendar is through the website. From here after reading more about the concept and options for the calendar, the customer can immediately start their creating their own. The website is one fixed page, by scrolling the visible content fades off, giving space for the next section to fade in. I used a less conventional, but modern top navigation with a dotted line, indicating where on the page is the user. By mouse hovering over these dots, it was possible to jump straight to a specific section (eg: calendar size, shipping options, inspiration, pricing, etc.)
When deciding to create a custom calendar by clicking on the CTA "Create your calendar", users land on the calendar editor. The first step is to choose the calendar size and personalize it by giving it a name and adding a personal motto.

The second step was the longest and for that reason, there was an option to save and continue later. Here users can start adding the most relevant life events in chronological order. Their life story!
The last step of the ordering process is the checkout, where shipping details are added followed by the payment details on the next section that shows up.
